Ayurveda Campus lies in Kirtipur, Kathmandu, Nepal. It is running under Institute of Medicine, Nepal of Tribhuvan University of Nepal.

It is the oldest college of Nepal providing medical education, primarily Ayurveda system of treatment. It resulted from the merging of Government of Nepal’s Ayurved Vidhyalaya and Chikitsalaya with the Institute of Medicine in 1972. Rajakiya Ayurveda Vidhyalaya was the first to start technical education in the country in 1928.
Ayurveda Campus produces qualified doctors to meet the national need. Ayurveda Campus is conducting BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) and in addition, has introduced MD in Kayachikitsha program for the first time in Nepal as a branch of Institute of Medicine (IOM) under Tribhuvan University (T.U.). The bachelor's degree programme was started in 1996. It admits 30 students every year into its 5½ year course with 3 professional courses of 18 months each, followed by an internship of 1 year.

Courses
Ayurveda Campus is conducting one Bachelor level course which is Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery and MD in Kayachikitsha. The BAMS program enables students to be competent, capable of providing Ayurveda health services in Nepal, identifying health problems and managing health institutions. After completion of this course, doctors will have integrated knowledge of Ayurveda, Allopathy, Yoga, Naturopathy etc. BAMS is equivalent course to the Graduate degree in the related field.
BAMS is a 5.5 years course equivalent to MBBS or a medical degree. It consists of 3 phases of 18 months each classified as basic science, sub-clinical and clinical phases along with regular laboratory and hospital practice. After completion of 4.5 years academic course, one is assigned to complete 1 year compulsory rotating internship in different departments of Governmental Ayurvedic Hospitals in Kathmandu like Naradevi Ayurveda Hospital, Naradevi and Ayurveda Teaching Hospital, Kirtipur.
The curriculums of BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery) is as approved by IOM TU, Ayurvedic Medical Council of Nepal and CCIM of India. BAMS course is also equivalent with MBBS .
