Death
Ayden was 'bullied to death.' There are possible different reasons why Ayden was bullied. Ayden was found dead lying next to his father - Tim Olson in his family home in Colchester, Essex at 7:20am on March 14. He had taken an overdose of prescription drugs and left two notes suggesting homophobic and racial bullying he had experienced during his time at Philip Morant. It appeared that Ayden had searched up 'suicide' on the internet in the run up of his tragic death.
Campaign against bullying
Ayden's mother - Shy Keenan is continuing to campaign against bullying.
Philip Morant status
Ofsted visited the school shortly after the incident and the school received a 'needing improvement' level. However, later in 2015, the school received a 'good' status. Philip Morant School and College continues to campaign against bullying as this has been a major incident for the school, and the family of Ayden Keenan Olson.
