Ayaz Jani (original name Ayaz Hussain Channa) (Sindhi: اياز جاني), born 4 October 1967 – died 6 June 2016) Pakistani was a poet and journalist in the Sindhi language. Jani had been writing poetry since his school days and gained popularity as a romantic. He died on 6 June 2016 due to a heart attack.

Education
Ayaz Jani graduated with a Master of Arts in Sindhi literature from Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur in first class second position.
Professional career
Ayaz Jani started his profession as assistant editor in the monthly Saras (Sindhi: سارس) magazine and released 6 issues. In 1997, he joined as Editor in the monthly Lahroon (Sindhi: لهرون), also a literary magazine in the Sindhi language. He also released monthly Hamarcho (Sindhi: همرچو).
Literary career
Having a degree in literature and circle of literary friends, Ayaz started writing poetry in the field of Sindhi Ghazal and Vai. He wrote poetry on romanticism and the everyday life of Sindhi culture. Jani was known for his command in waee (Sindhi: وائي) and ghazal which was widely acknowledged and also appreciated by great writer, poet Shaikh Ayaz in his book "Deaa deaa lat asan" (Sindhi: ڏيئا ڏيئا لاٽ آسان). Jani has one anthology Darawar dil jee tanhaee (Sindhi: دراوڙ دل جي تنهائي) to his credit.
Death
He died on 6 June 2016 at early morning in Chandka Medical College hospital Larkana.
