History

Founder John Olajide had worked as a health care technology consultant during his time at the University of Texas at Dallas. In 2002 during a visit to a home healthcare agency where his aunt worked, Olajide helped set up a network and policies for information sharing. This experience led him to create Axxess as a home healthcare consulting firm in 2007. The company remained exclusively a consulting firm until 2011 when they started offering software designed to facilitate administrative functions for home healthcare organizations.

By the end of 2011, Axxess' software was considered the best home healthcare software according to a survey of home healthcare organizations. They also became the fastest growing home health software company in the industry earning triple-digit growth within the first two years. Internally, the company grew from 15 to 80 employees within the first year of the software's release. By 2013, they counted over 700 home healthcare agencies (including RBA Texas Group) as clients with 20,000 healthcare professionals and over 100,000 patients under their wing.

In 2014, the company released a mobile app for both iOS and Android devices. The company also had over 50,000 home health professionals using their software, while signing up 50 new home healthcare organizations per month. In August 2014, Axxess announced it will be moving its headquarters to the 25,000-square-foot Tollway Plaza near the Dallas North Tollway. The move was expected to facilitate the creation of 100 more jobs. By the end of 2014, the company maintained 120 employees, and, by 2015, they were approaching 1 million patients served.

Products and services

The primary product offered by Axxess Technology Solutions is a cloud-based software.
