Aviation Management College

Aviation Management College (Abbreviated: AMC; Malay: Kolej Pengurusan Penerbangan) is a private Malaysian institute of higher education with its mission set on preparing students who aspire to work within the aviation world. Founded by ex-military countryman, Capt. Ab Manan Mansor, the College had been established since May, 2007. AMC is located in Dengkil, Selangor about 45 minutes away from Kuala Lumpur.

Contents

All staunches with relation to travel, aeronautical and people skills will be a matter of interest to the college. Its joint Lecturer and Student Sonex aircraft building effort is an example of a fundamental way in promoting its people-orientated, academic beliefs. Current events are also of interest to this establishment. Such an example can be seen with the time AMC participated in the International Women's Day, 2012. So far, the College had seen a run of six convocations with the attendance of notable Malaysian figures such as Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah (Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Higher Education), Dr. James Davos Mamit (Deputy Minister of Tourism), Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar (Malaysia's very first astronaut), Datuk Capt. Mohd Nawawi Hj Awang (MASWINGS Chief executive Officer), and the latest addition, Tuan Hj Mohd Ghous (Pengarah Kanan Akademik, Jabatan Pengajian Politeknik/ Senior Director of Academic, Jabatan Pengajian Politeknik) within the Year 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 respectively.

Academics

Currently, there are a total of seven diploma programme courses and one degree programme and one master program that a student can apply, all accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency:

1. Diploma in Aviation Management (DAM)

This is a course for students who want to focus of the management side of things, especially those to do with aviation.

2. Diploma in Flight Operations Management (DFOM)

This is directed to students who have an interest or would like to be a flight dispatcher.

3. Diploma in Office Management (DOM)

A course for those who wish to have a strong footing in administrative responsibilities in a corporation.

4 Diploma in Aviation Tourism Management (DTAM)

Directed to those who would like to learn about the tourism and its relation with aviation.

5. Diploma in Aviation Finance Management (DFAM)

For those who focus on the financial aspects of the airline industry.

6. Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Technology For those who want to be become aircraft maintenance engineer with EASA Part 66.

7. Diploma in Aviation Safety Management For those who want work health and safety environment both aviation and the industry.


8. BA(Hons) in Airline & Airport Management (in collaboration with Bucks New University, UK) A course that students able to emphasize airline and airport management, safety, maintenance or administration.

9. Master in Business Administration in Aviation Management (in collaboration with Open University Malaysia) Developing leadership managerial skills in the aviation industry.

Starting on 6 June 2016, Aviation Management College has commenced operations at our new campus in Putrajaya. With an area of 5 acres, 3-storey building facilities is much more convenient for all students. Aviation Management College Putrajaya Campus provides a multipurpose hall, swimming pool, 10 main classes, a lecture hall, and several other amenities that promising a more efficient learning environment for the aviators!. Facilities include:-
