Avadan is a village in Tarsus district of Mersin Province, Turkey. At 37°02′N 36°06′E it is situated in Çukurova (Cilicia of the antiquity) plains to the north of Çukurova motorway . The distance to Tarsus is 28 kilometres (17 mi) and the distance to Mersin is 50 kilometres (31 mi). The population of Avadan is 293 as of 2012.
