The Autovía A-73 is a new highway that will connects Burgos with Aguilar de Campoo and the Autovía A-67. This allows a high capacity connection between Burgos and Santander, setting also the shortest way between Madrid and Santander.

In 2013 the first 10 km were opened to the traffic between Burgos and Ubierna. The rest of the highway will be finished before 2024.
History
This highway was projected during the first years of the 2000s, in order to have a quick connection between Burgos and Santander.
