History
Cynthea Wellings founded Ausmed as a small nursing publishing company in 1987 after self-publishing the book Urinary Continence, a practical guide. The company turned to continuing nurse education in the 1990s, and by the 2000s began focusing on education technology designed specifically for nurses and midwives, including online CPD courses and organization software. In May 2014, the company released Ausmed-on-the-Go, an iPhone app that streams lectures.
