Early life
Ames was born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. She is of Polish descent. As an army brat, she grew up in several different places throughout Canada. Her first job was babysitting. At age 14, she started working in a horse ranch in Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States, where she worked for two summers. Her job there involved cleaning stables as well as teaching differently abled children how to ride horses for therapy. She later worked as a zumba and yoga instructor. Shortly before entering the adult film industry, she was bartending and working at a tanning salon.
Career
