Athena coustenis


Athena Coustenis (born September 28, 1961) is a Greek astronomer. She studies planetary science as the Director of Research at the French National Centre for Scientific Research. She is also an astrophysicist for the Paris Observatory. Coustenis also works with the European Space Agency and NASA. She studies Saturn and its moons and is considered a foremost expert on Titan.

Born in Athens, Greece, she moved to France to obtain her Master's degree in astrophysics and space techniques in 1986 and her PhD in 1989.

Awards and honors
