Early life
Asghar Adam Ali was born in Aden, known then as the Golden Bird, in the year 1953. He received little formal education, which he acquired partly in India. Asghar Adam Ali's father was an excellent perfumer by profession, while his mother, used to blend her own perfumes, and test them on him. Eventually this gave him a sharp ability to smell and judge a good perfume, as well as memorise the fragrance.
Personal life
His son Mustafa Adam Ali is the Managing Director of the Nabeel Group.
Philanthropy
Asghar Adam Ali has founded a charitable trust and more recently in Africa, India and U.A.E. The trust provides for free education, medical aid and scholarships by partnering with NGOs.
