MR Garden Ground in Arumuga Koundanur is maintained by kongu riders cricket club, which is one of the leading regional cricket club in Coimbatore. The ground is on the footsteps of Ayyaswamy Hills near Perur. The ground is used by Kongu Riders Cricket Club and Royals Cricket Club at alternative weeks. Kongu Riders used to conduct practice matches and tournaments in this ground, in joint collaboration with the Teachers Colony Ground Committee members.

Ground History
Kongu Riders and Royals CC used to play in the old ground near MR Garden in Arumuga Koundanur. After the construction of houses in the old ground, both the teams moved to the MR Garden Ground. Both the teams have agreed to use the ground at alternative weeks, where Royal CC used to play in the cork ball pitch and Kongu Riders in cricket ball pitch.
Kongu Riders CC
The Kongu Riders Cricket Club (abbreviated as KRCC), also referred in other names as Kongu Cricket Club or Arumuga Koundanur Cricket Club, is a regional club cricket team based in Coimbatore. The primary home ground of Kongu Riders Cricket Club is Arumuga Koundanur MR Garden Ground- Krishna Nagar. They also have one more home ground in Arumuga Koundanur Teachers Colony Ground, situated about 1 km from the old ground. The Kongu Riders are currently captained by Siva Kumar. The team is currently administered and managed by Ashok and Silambarasan.
The team participated in several Cricket ball tournaments and ended up runners up in 2 tournaments, Masters Champions trophy and Arumuga Koundanur trophy. Kongu Riders also participated in major district level tournament like the G-Developers CDCA League Entry Knock out tournament in 2014 and 2015.
