Arthur Morley Francis was a politician in Queensland, Australia. He was a Member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly.

Early life

Arthur arrived in Brisbane in 1862 and bought 70 acres of land at Corinda. Arthur was elected to represent East Moreton in the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in 1867.

Later life

Arthur was acquainted with the explorer William Landsborough.

Arthur was appointed police magistrate in 1876 and served in many places in the western district, including Banana, a town 100 miles south of Rockhampton, he also was Magistrate at Taroom. He was 'leader writer' for The Brisbane Courier, and was later editor for The Telegraph Brisbane.
