Arthur Schumacher

Arthur "Buddy" Schumacher (born April 12, 1903) was an American professional ring tosser. He is one of the four founding fathers of ring toss. He was born in the small town of Wasatch Falls, Colorado where he helped craft the game of ring toss.

Professional career

Buddy made his professional ring toss debut in the NRPA (National Ringtoss Pitchers Association) in 1925. Schumacher completed a historic rookie campaign, compiling a record of 28-2 with a RER (Ring Efficiency Rating) of 83. He made it to the championship round of the tournament where he was bested by Putt Mossman. This was the beginning of the Schumacher-Mossman rivalry.
