Life and works

Camenisch grew up in Tavanasa and studied at a teacher training college in Chur. From 2004 to 2007 he lived in Madrid. Since 2007, he has lived in Biel/Bienne. He is a member of the Spoken Word Ensemble Bern ist Ă¼berall.

Camenisch writes prose, poetry and plays. He is best known for his multi-award winning novel Sez Ner (translated as The Alp), about life in a modern Alpine village, which was written jointly in German and Romansh.
