Aristotelia fungivorella

Aristotelia fungivorella is a moth of the Gelechiidae family. It was described by Clemens in 1865. It is found in North America, where it has been recorded from Ontario to British Columbia, south to California, Mississippi and Alabama.

The wingspan is about 11 mm. The forewings are light to medium brown with dark patches in the basal, antemedial and postmedial areas along the costa, and a fourth dark patch at the apex. There is an S-shaped edge at the bottom of the antemedial patch, that continues across to the bottom of the postmedial patch. The hindwings are grey.

The larvae within galls of Salix cordata and Salix exigua.
