Ariljača (Serbian: Ариљача, Ariljača; Albanian: Harilaqi) is a village in municipality of Kosovo Polje, in Kosovo.

Geography

It is situated near Pristina and river Gračanica.

History

Village is first mentioned in 1316, when king Stephen Uroš II Milutin of Serbia donated Ariljača to the Gračanica monastery. Ottoman census from 1455 states that the village had more than 180 Serbian homes and an Orthodox priest.

The village has an old Orthodox church, renovated in 1938.

Until 1988 the village belonged to the municipality of Pristina, when it was included in the newly formed Kosovo Polje municipality.
