Arad (Arabic: عراد) is a town in Bahrain, located on Muharraq Island. It lies east of Muharraq City and northwest of Hidd. It was originally a separate island (Arad Island) but was joined to Muharraq over the course of the 20th century. Once a small farming village, Arad later expanded to include new middle-class housing, which gave it a larger population than other parts of the country. A comparatively small Shia enclave has also historically existed in the town.
