History
AppViewX was founded in 2009 by Anand Purusothaman as a part of Payoda Inc. In working on IT projects with various enterprises, Purusothaman saw that companies struggled to efficiently manage and maintain visibility of the manual configuration changes that needed to be made to their application delivery controllers (ADCs) to keep applications running without interruption.
The initial release of the AppViewX platform was version 4.0. It focused on automating and orchestrating the deployment and management of layer 2 to layer 7 services through ADCs. With continued development, AppViewX has expanded its product line to cover a wider range of ADC and SSL certificate management.
In April 2016, Gartner named AppViewX a “Gartner Cool Vendor for Enterprise Networking.”
Since April 2016, AppViewX has been functioning as a separate entity from Payoda with Manny Rivelo as its CEO.

The AppViewX product suite is based on the company’s centralized platform for managing, automating, and orchestrating layer 2 to layer 7 services in enterprise-defined data centers. The suite consists of three major products: ADC+, CERT+, and SECURITY+.
AppViewX ADC+
AppViewX ADC+ is a multi-vendor ADC management solution that serves as an orchestration platform for application delivery networking. It provides centralized management, role-based access control, self-service templates, automated workflows, application-centric visibility and monitoring, and other capabilities to support ADC infrastructures across data centers. It enables enterprises to automate control of A10 Thunder ADCs, Akamai GTMs, AVI Networks software load balancers, Brocade vADCs, Citrix NetScalers, F5 BIG-IP DNS and LTM devices, and Radware ADCs from a single console.
AppViewX CERT+
AppViewX CERT+ is a certificate and key lifecycle automation tool that performs end-to-end SSL and SSH provisioning. It automates discovery and inventory of certificates, certificate enrollment, expiration alerting, and other certificate management functions for app servers, web servers, ADCs, proxies, and firewalls. The solution integrates with several major certificate authorities, including Symantec, GeoTrust, Digicert, Microsoft CA, and Entrust.
AppViewX SECURITY+
AppViewX SECURITY+ is a security policy and services automation tool that automates and orchestrates firewall management. It provides a single console for centrally managing security policies in a multi-vendor environment. The solution also provides real-time visibility into firewall rules/policies and changes that occur in the security infrastructure, and it includes audit and compliance reporting.

Through its Global Services organization, AppViewX provides professional services in the areas of deployment and integration, managed services, proactive planning and optimization, and tailored automation for network provisioning.
