Early life
Anson Paul was born in Thrissur, Kerala and brought up in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.) and Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Although he enjoyed doing theatre right from his school days, his parents’ wish led him to pursue engineering;
Career
With no film background, Anson Paul has come into the Film Industry with his own efforts. From a very young age, his passion remained acting. This led him to constantly pursue his career along the line of acting. He joined a course at Anupam Kher’s Actor Prepares, Mumbai. This was his stepping-stone into the world of professional acting. Soon he obtained the opportunity to work as an assistant director for Baiju Johnson’s Malayalam film KQ. To his good fortune, the director asked him to audition for the same movie and impressed by his performing skills as a beginner, Baiju Johnson gave the opportunity to play the lead role. Anson Paul is a very determined and focused individual who constantly strives to achieve his dreams. Whilst awaiting a good script, he has undergone several training session including Muay Thai to improve his on-screen skills. Subsequently, Anson makes a comeback in to Malayalam movies after a short interval. Knowing the potential of Anson, it was none other than Jayasurya himself who personally suggested him the role of Vijay Babu in Su Su Sudhi Valmeekam. Anson Paul shows off his skills as a versatile actor, donning in a mature role in this movie and has tailored his looks to match the character. He has a unique way of living his life in the mode of the character he is to enact, which helps him to mould better during his on-screen performance. His constant efforts paved way for him to enter the Tamil industry with the film Remo (film) in which he is the second lead along with Sivakarthikeyan and Keerthy Suresh; He has shown a steep improvement in his acting skills with each film. Besides being an actor Anson Paul is also a celebrity model, who has walked the ramp for many designers. He has modeled for designers including Matin Mac Mathew during Kerala Fashion League 2015. He was one of the show stoppers for the designer Matin Mac in Kerala Fashion League 2015. He is known for a photoshoot with Richard Antony, a renowned photographer branded for his unique underwater photography, which required hours of underwater training to acquire diving skills.
