Anolis smaragdinus, also known as the Bahamian green anole, is a species of dactyloid lizard in the genus Anolis.

A. smaragdinus is part of the A. carolinensis series of anoles.

Etymology
The subspecific name, lerneri, is in honor of American businessman Michael Lerner (1891-1978), a patron of the American Museum of Natural History.
