Annette Shun Wah (born 26 March 1958) is a prominent figure in the Australian media, but particularly in television, film and radio. Shun Wah was born in Cairns, Queensland of Chinese ancestry.

Radio and television

She is currently the producer of the SBS show The Movie Show. She also sometimes fills in for Rod Quinn's Overnight program on ABC Local Radio when he is either on leave or himself filling in for another radio presenter, especially over the Christmas and New Year period. Shun Wah is also a fill in presenter for ABC Local Radio's Nightlife program.

Film

Shun Wah starred in Clara Law's 1996 film Floating Life as a Chinese wife of a German national in Germany which won her a nomination for an AFI Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role.

Books and newspapers

Shun Wah has been a long-serving food critic for the Sydney Morning Herald. She has also published, with Greg Aitkin, a book on Chinese-Australian cuisine entitled Banquet (Doubleday ISBN 0-86824-748-0).
