Squalloscope (born Anna Kohlweis; June 30, 1984) is an Austrian singer-songwriter and artist, also known as Paper Bird between 2006 - 2011.

Early life
Kohlweis was born and raised in Klagenfurt, Austria. There she attended BRG Klagenfurt-Viktring Grammar School with an emphasis on arts education. From 2004 to 2009 she was enrolled at the University of Vienna studying theater, film and media studies, and between 2008 and 2014 she completed a M.A. in Fine Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna.
