Anime talk show

Anime Talk Show (also known as Adult Swim Brain Trust) is an animated television special that aired on Cartoon Network's late night programming block, Adult Swim, on November 4, 2004. Anime Talk Show revolved around the unofficial pilot for Squidbillies, however many people consider it the very last episode of Space Ghost, as it follows exactly the same format of the show, with Space Ghost interviewing guests. The short was dubbed "Anime Talk Show" due to it following the premiere of Perfect Hair Forever, which aired in place of what was supposed to have been the premiere of Squidbillies.

Contents

Anime Talk Show was released as a special feature on the Squidbillies Volume One DVD on October 16, 2007. In addition to being available on DVD, this special is also available on Adult Swim Video.

Plot

Anime Talk Show features Space Ghost, of Space Ghost Coast to Coast and Cartoon Planet, hosting a focus group discussion about the unofficial pilot of Squidbillies with Meatwad from Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Early Cuyler from Squidbillies, and Sharko from Sealab 2021. Also, the Cybernetic Ghost of Christmas Past from the Future from Aqua Teen Hunger Force makes a brief appearance, and Zorak and "Dad" from The Brak Show make small non-speaking cameos as well. Throughout the entire special Space Ghost attempts to host a good interview, but nobody cooperates. After unsuccessfully attempting to do a good interview Space Ghost is eventually shot by Sharko; Sharko is eventually killed by Early. The special ends the set in ruins, and Early shooting the still-talking head of Space Ghost off of Meatwad's head, while a bear eats Sharko's dead body in the background.
