Anime Pulse is a company that runs six different podcasts. In addition to the podcasts, there have also been performances of live shows that AP has taken a part in. Anime Pulse has also won an award in 2006 for its podcasting.

History

Anime Pulse debuted on October 27, 2005. The company is split off into six different podcasts these include; Anime Pulse, Manga Pulse, VideoGame Pulse, Popcorn Pulse, Script 2 Script, and Anime Pulse: After Dark. Anime Pulse debuted first, and covers all ranges of new and old anime as well as the latest news on the anime industry. Manga Pulse was started in 2007 as a complementary show with a focus on reviewing manga. It is hosted by Weltall, and Tim the Enchanter. VideoGame Pulse covers the video game side which includes updates. Popcorn Pulse, and Script 2 Script discusses adaptations of films from literature as well as in general. Finally, Anime Pulse: After Dark covers hentai titles. In addition to their podcasts, Anime Pulse also created a weekly show for theotaku.com in 2009.

Hosts

Anime Pulse has performed live shows at Nan Desu Kan in both 2006 and 2007, and travels around to various sites providing audio and photographic coverage of the shows. Other hosts in the show's history have been Batou, Chigo, Rukia, Kaitar and Treize.

Awards

Anime Pulse was awarded the 2006 Podcast Award for "Best Cultural/Arts Podcast". It was also listed as the #17 hottest show among all those hosted at LibSyn. In 2007, Anime Pulse was also nominated for a Parsec Award for "Best Anime Podcast", as well as two podcast awards.
