Angelos Chanti (Greek: Άγγελος Χαντί; born 7 September 1989) is a Greek footballer who plays for OFI in the Football League.

Early life and career

Chanti was born in Pyrgos, Elis to a Jordanian father and a Greek mother. He started playing youth football in Paniliakos of his hometown, before moving to Athens to attend Juan Ramón Rocha's football academy.

Professional career

Chanti signed his first professional contract with Slovak First League side FK AS Trenčín in 2008. He returned to his homeland Greece in January 2010, and joined Gamma Ethniki side Olympiakos Chersonissos, signing a 6-month contract. He then signed a 5-year contract with Super League side Ergotelis. During his tenure with Ergotelis, Chanti summed up a total of 102 appearances and scored 11 goals in both Superleague and Football League matches, while also being appointed vice-captain the team during his final season. In the summer transfer window of 2015, after Ergotelis was relegated to the Football League, Chanti decided to move on and signed a two-year contract with the newly promoted to the Superleague club Iraklis on 26 June 2015. He was released from his contract with Iraklis in January 2016 and returned to Crete, signing with Football League 2 side OFI.
