Valmorbida was born in Melbourne, Australia and is the son of Italian immigrants.
Education

Valmorbida completed a Business degree before working at his family’s investment bank Morgan Schiff & Co. in New York for stepfather Phillip Cohen. He then continued on Wall Street before moving into the art world at the age of 25.
Philanthropy
In 2010 Andy curated and donated two rare Richard Hambleton pieces to the amfAR 17th Annual Cinema Against AIDS Gala During the Cannes Film Festival event. The pieces sold for $960,000.
