Andy Taranto (born June 23, 1988) is an American professional ice hockey right wing currently playing for the Alaska Aces of the ECHL.

Playing career
Taranto played 3 seasons of junior hockey in the United States Hockey League, spending time with the Omaha Lancers, Ohio Junior Blue Jackets and the Fargo Force. With the Force he led the league in goals for the 2008–09 season with 34 and was named to the USHL Second All-Star Team.
After the USHL Taranto attended the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and played 4 seasons for the Nanooks in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) in NCAA Division I. During his career at Alaska-Fairbanks Taranto scored 59 goals and 61 assists for 120 points in 146 games.
Taranto was named the CCHA Rookie of the Year and to the CCHA All-Rookie Team at the completion of the 2009–10 season. For the 2012–13 season Taranto was named one of three alternate captains for the Nanooks and while playing in 37 games scored 16 goals and 14 assists for 30 points on his way to earning a spot on the CCHA Second All-Star Team.
Having completed his college career, Taranto signed with the Alaska Aces for the end of the 2012–13 ECHL regular season and the playoffs. Taranto played 2 regular season games for the Aces, but also slotted into 6 playoff games scoring 3 goals and 2 assists for 5 points.
Taranto signed a tryout contract with the Abbotsford Heat of the American Hockey League in September 2013, however he was reassigned to the Aces for the 2013–14 ECHL season.
