Andy Robin is a writer and director who worked on NBC's Seinfeld for several seasons 1993 to 1998. With collaborator Gregg Kavet he wrote episodes including "The Jimmy", "The Hot Tub", "The Caddy", "The Bottle Deposit", "The Fatigues", "The Comeback", "The Nap", and "The Slicer". The Fatigues won the 1997 Writers Guild of America Award for best television comedy.

In 2000 he produced The Michael Richards Show, a show starring Michael Richards. In 2007 he was one of the writers of Bee Movie, a movie starring Jerry Seinfeld.

Robin and Kavet wrote and directed the feature film Live Free or Die. This independent film won the Jury Prize for best narrative at the 2006 South By Southwest Film Festival and was awarded the Jury Prize in New American Cinema at the 2006 Seattle International Film Festival. They also wrote the 2005 Simon Spotlight book Saving Face – How to Lie, Fake, and Maneuver Your Way Out of Life's Most Awkward Situations", a humorous guide to awkward social situations.

Personal life

Robin was born and raised in Stamford, Connecticut where he attended Westhill High School. His brother, Josh Robin, is a television journalist in New York City with the all-news channel NY1. After 18 years in show business Robin enrolled as a medical student at Brown University.
