Andrew P(atrick) V(incent) Siemion is an astrophysicist and Director of the Berkeley SETI Research Center. In September 2015, Siemion testified on the current status of astrobiology to the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology of the US Congress. His research interests include high energy time-variable celestial phenomena, astronomical instrumentation and the search for extraterrestrial intelligence (SETI).

In 2012, Siemion received a Ph.D. in astrophysics from UC Berkeley. Siemion is jointly affiliated with Netherlands Institute for Radio Astronomy (ASTRON), Radboud University Nijmegen, Netherlands and the SETI Institute.
