Youth career
In January 2013, he moved from Panathinaikos to Juventus, which paid €300.000 for him – which seems to be a rather laughable sum for the player of his calibre. He became a star of Primavera in Turin, where he formed a great partnership with Younes Bnou Marzouk in attack.
Lugano
Despite only playing with Lugano since the beginning of the season, the Greek forward has already written his name in the club's history books, scoring twice on 2 March against FC Luzern to fire his side into the Swiss Cup final for the first time in 23 years. The 19-year old was in unstoppable form on the night, netting coolly through the goalkeeper's legs with barely two minutes on the clock before striking the eventual winner moments after half-time to register his fourth goal in this season's competition. On 25 May 2016, he netted the last goal sealing the victory against St.Gallen on the last matchday of the 2015–16 Swiss Super League, helping his club to avoid relegation. On 29 May 2016, despite his solid performance, Lugano did not win the Swiss Cup, as they lost 1-0 in the final from the relegated FC Zürich. He ended his loan to Lugano having 29 appearances (8 goals, 7 assists) in all competitions.
Nice
On 20 July 2016, OGC Nice officially announced that Donis had joined them on loan from Juventus. Nice had an option to buy him at the end of the season. On 14 August 2016 (matchday 1 of the 2016-17 Ligue 1 season) , he made his debut for Nice as a substitute in a 1-0 Ligue 1 home win against Rennes. On 3 November 2016, he made his international club debut (he appeared as a substitute late in the match) in a 2-0 home loss against FC Red Bull Salzburg in a 2016–17 UEFA Europa League group stage match. On 12 February 2017, he came on as a substitute for Alassane Pléa in the 43rd minute and scored his first Ligue 1 goal (in the 59th minute and assisted by Valentin Eysseric) for the club in a 2-2 Ligue 1 away draw against Rennes.
International career

In March 2016 he was member of the Greece U21 squad who played against Israel U21 and Albania U21.
Personal life
Anastasios Donis comes from a very sport-oriented family. His father Giorgos Donis was a footballer – an international of Greece, while his older brother, Christos Donis, is a Panathinaikos player. Anastasios, nicknamed “Tasos”, was born in Blackburn, because his father at the time was playing for Blackburn Rovers.
