Life
Anar Alizade was born in September 21, 1978 in Nakhchivan. After graduating from high school in 1996-2000, A.Alizade received a bachelor's degree in economics from the Nakhchivan State University then got a master's degree in "Management" at Academy of Public Administration (Azerbaijan).
He started to take his first steps in business in the late of 90s, engaging in a delivery of various goods from Turkey and the organization of their sales in Nakhchivan. Then he engaged in the import of cars and family business - passenger transport.
Arriving in early 2000, in Baku, Anar Alizade continued his business in the capital. Primary capital accumulated by A.Alizade and his family from activities in the field of trade between Turkey and Nakhchivan, he invested in the real estate market in Baku. A few years later, a sharp rise in the price of real estate brought him a large income.
In the mid of 2000s, Anar Alizade started building trade relations with UAE. Anar Alizade created one of the first Azerbaijan Investment Companies in UAE and engaged in production and sale of computers and electronic equipment.
Oil sector
Anar Alizade also began to work in the oil sector in UAE. Thus, he established "Grand" LLC Company selling oil equipment and technical services to local oil companies. Activities in this area helped Anar Alizade in partnership with SOCAR. This partnership led to the creation of SOCAR Trading SA - the local company engaged in the sale of Azeri Light oil on the world market. After owning 25% stake in SOCAR Trading SA, Anar Alizade started his activity in the oil sector.In addition, he has been Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors for 6 years. In 2012, he sold his shares in SOCAR Trading SA of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan.
After some time, Anar Alizade gathered all his companies established in 2007 in Singapore, the "Union Grand Energy" group of companies, and declared it in Azerbaijan, opened a representative office.
Awards
In December 2014, Anar Alizade was awarded a prize of "Man of the Year - Business reputation”.
Other
Currently, Anar Alizade leads several companies in Azerbaijan, United Arab Emirates, Turkey and Singapore, operating in the oil, construction, trading and manufacturing sectors. His main activities in Azerbaijan are aiming to increase oil production in the old oil fields, onshore drilling of new wells and equipping them with modern equipment, participation in the project "Baku White City" and support business initiatives among young people.
