Ananya Mishra is a Mumbai based singer specialised in semi-classical, Gazal, Thumri and Bollywood singing. She is also a well known Kathak dancer and has won three National level awards. She was one of the top finalists of Indian Idol (season 4), judged by Anu Malik, Javed Akhtar, Kailash Kher and Sonali Bendre.

Early life
Ananya was born in one of the historical families of music from Lucknow Gharana (also known as kalka-bindadeen maharaj ji gharana). She is the grand daughter of the Kathak maestro and choreographer Padmavibhushan Pandit Birju Maharaj ji. She started learning Kathak and singing at the age of five from her father Pandit Om Prakash Maharaj ji.
Career and Achievements
Ananya got her first opportunity,at the age of six, to perform at a music award function organised by Government of India in Lucknow, Sangeet Natak Akademi Awards and she won the best child performer that year. The same year she was also awarded by the Bollywood actress Rekha for her constant performances in Kathak and singing. Ananya has done more than thousand shows across the globe. She is recently working with many Bollywood music directors and she is coming up with her single covers soon this year.
