Amiya Kashyap (born 25 January 1980) is an Indian Film Actor & State President of Bhartiya Janta T.V. and Cine Kaamgar Sangh, Bihar State. He gained first popularity in 2007 for Bhojpuri movie 'Toote Na Sanehiya Ke Door' and in 2008 for movie 'Teej'.

Early Life and Background

Amiya Kashyap was born in Begusarai, Bihar. His father Basuki Nath Singh is a retired school principal and his mother Shanti Singh is a school teacher. He is youngest in his family.
Kashyap is an alumnus of B.N. College, Patna. He later attended Moti Lal Nehru College, Delhi University. He has also completed Diploma in Dramatic Arts from HCRFTR, Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. He has also completed vocal diploma (Sangeet Prabhakar) from Prayag Sangit Samiti, Allahabad.

Acting career

He started his career with cameos in TV series like Haqeeqatra, Rihaee, Kumkum and Ssshhh... Koi hai.
He also featured in Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate Advertisement with superstar Amitabh Bachchan.
Kashyap debuted in bollywood with a cameo in 'Vaastu Shastra'. He is currently shooting for his film 'Gulmohar' in Bihar, which is a woman oriented subject based on the struggle of a woman from rural Bihar. He is playing the main antagonist in the movie. The film is due to be released in 2016. He is also shooting for 'Jat-Jatin' directed by Anil Patang.
