Ami Vitale

Ami Vitale (born 1971) is an American photojournalist and documentary film maker. She has a degree in International Studies from the University of North Carolina and received her Masters at the University of Miami. Her photographs have been exhibited around the world in museums and galleries and published in international magazines including National Geographic, Geo, Newsweek, Time and Smithsonian, among others. Based in Montana, Vitale is a contract photographer with National Geographic magazine and is writing a book about the stories behind the images.
