Head chef of Amarone is Gert Blom. Chef Blom and maître Harry Baas were co-owners of the restaurant from 2006 until Baas left in 2015.
In 2007, the restaurant was the highest new entry in the "Lekker Top-100 2008", at spot 54; at this point, Amarone had only been in business for fifteen months. The Michelin star, awarded just 2 weeks later, took them completely by surprise.
