Almir Memić (born March 3, 1962. in Sarajevo) is a football coach and former international player from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Career

He started playing football in Famos Hrasnica. After that, he played in various clubs from Bosnia and Herzegovina and other parts of former Yugoslavia - Čelik Zenica, Borac Banja Luka, HNK Šibenik, FK Novi Sad, Mogren Budva and NK Pazinka. He also played for Konyaspor in the Turkish Super Lig before he returned to Bosnia and Herzegovina. He played for FK Željezničar where he has collected 50 league appearances in two years. In 1999 he moved to Austrian Bundesliga by signing with LASK Linz.

After that, he started working as a coach. He was a youth team coach, then an assistant coach and in March 2006. He was promoted to the position of a head coach in FK Željezničar, after Ratko Ninković had resigned. As he was just a replacement, he led the team only until the end of the season.
