Technological leverage
Alliance Church Calwell places a high value on using technology leverage to gain maximum, cost-effective impact. It was the first church in Canberra to make regularly available its services via online audio podcast: its new video podcast service was added in early 2007.
In addition, it was also the first church in Canberra to utilize video venues to provide a quality service experience for attendees.
Inter-denominational involvement
Alliance Church Calwell actively supports various inter-denominational celebrations and activities.
In 2006 they hosted the Winter Bible School, hosting guests from New Creation Ministries. They are also one of the sponsoring churches of the annual His Fame conference in Canberra.
Community involvement
Alliance Church Calwell has a history of strong local community involvement. They currently host a vibrant playgroup program to provide support for parents of young children, under the banner of Playgroups ACT. They have also pioneered a holiday program for families with disabled children.
Services to the community
Alliance Church Calwell is one of only a handful of individual churches - as distinct from a denomination - planting small-footprint venues strategically located in high-traffic commercial areas and town centers.
In 2007 they jump-started a successful site in the Canberra City.
