Alis Rowe (born 1988) is a British entrepreneur and author, who writes about Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). In 2013, she founded The Curly Hair Project, a social enterprise dedicated to supporting women and girls with ASD. Alis has Asperger's Syndrome and writes and speaks about life as a female on the spectrum, with an aim to help both individuals who are autistic and their non-autistic ('neurotypical') loved ones.

Personal life
Alis Rowe was born and raised in London, UK and has a 1st class degree and masters in Chemistry. In 2008 she started Olympic weight lifting.
After being diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, she started The Curly Hair Project in 2013 to educate and support those with ASD and those without, through: blog articles, posters, social media, books, videos, apps, podcasts, seminars and workshops.

Alis Rowe founded The Curly Hair Project in 2013 with the aim of spreading awareness about Asperger's Syndrome. Her autobiography, Asperger's and Me, was released in November 2013. Since then she has written over a dozen more books.
Alis regularly hosts workshops and talks on panels and at conferences all around the UK. She has also received awards for her work, including the Temple Grandin Award in 2014.
