Ali Tajalaei

Early life

Ali Tajaleei was born in Tabriz, East Azerbaijan province in 1959. He studied math in Tarbiat High School. When he was a teenager, he was summoned by SAVAK because he refused to join the Rastakhiz Party. He actively participated in protests against the Shah's regime and printed and distributed Imam Khomeini's flyers.

After the 19179 revolution and establishment of IRGC, he joined to this force in 1980. He was trained by Mohsen Cherik and started military training in Seyyed-o-shohada garrison.he was a very hard and tough trainer and he said to soldiers ((....i'm responsible for your blood)).and because of this,he was called ALI RAGBAR. after a while he was sent to Kurdistan to fought against counter-revolutionary.

In Afghanistan

In January 1980, Afghanistan was attacked by the Red Army of the Soviet Union. All the people of Afghanistan got to gather to resist. Iran and other Islamic countries condemned this aggression. In this situation, Tajaleei and several companions were commissioned to go to Afghanistan,helping the Afghan people against the Red army. He trained 300 Afghans who had high scientific level. On his initiative, at many points in the country, demonstrations against America was organized. Tajaleei and his companions were in Afghanistan for 4 month and came back to Iran by starting of Iran-Iraq War.

Iran-Iraq war

In Iran, Tajaleei and his companions went to south war zones quickly and attended Susangerd combat. Saddam Hussein had decided to occupy Susangerd.Iraqi forces entered the city by four armored brigade and because of Abolhassan Banisadr betrayal no help were sent to Iranian forces.but they did not leave the fight and resisted as much as possible.Tajalaei was wounded a lot in this combat.

when the situation was being harder, Tajalaei called Ayatollah Madani and informed about Abolhassan Banisadr betrayal. Ayatollah Madani meet Imam Khomeini and explained the situation.Imam Khomeini ordered IRGC and Islamic Republic of Iran Army to break the siege and release Susangerd.by this order Iranian military forces started a big operation and the city was released. Tajalaei was hardly injured and was transmitted to Tehran for medical treatment.

Operation Fath ol-Mobin

In Operation Fath ol-Mobin he was the battalion commander of Ayatollah ghazi Tabatabaei and Ayatollah Madani. He played an important role in this operation and although his foot was injured he stayed in war zone and did not leave the region. By the end of the operation he was hospitalized in Tabriz but he returned to the war zone after a while.

Operation Beit ol-Moqaddas

In Operation Beit ol-Moqaddas, Tajalaei was the deputy commander of Ashoora brigade. This operation was performed in four steps, and Khorramshahr was liberated in this operation.

Operation Ramadan

In Operation Ramadan, IRGC and Iran army were going to occupy a big part of iraq ,1600sq.km . Tajalaei could perform greatly in this mission in Pasghah-e-zeyd region.also he attend in different parts of this operation in Shalamcheh in June 1982.

Khatam al-Anbia camp

In 1983, he was appointed as the deputy of specialized training in IRGC.he also attended Operation Dawn 2 in this year.Tajalaei was dispatched to tehran to take Davos Courses in army university.he also played an important role in Operation Kheibar.because of his great efforts he was dispatched to Khatam al-Anbia camp.

Operations

Death

In Operation Badr (1985) he was appointed as the deputy of the Zafar Camp. It was really hard for him just to stay in his room and command. So he decided to go to the battle fronts to fight like other simple Basiji soldiers. A group was sent to take him back, but they couldn't find him.

Tajalaei was killed in this operation and his corpse has not been found yet.
