Best known for his strict style and no holds barred take on health and fitness, he owns and operates Angry Trainer Fitness, a website dedicated to giving readers real world, practical information on health and fitness. Moretti has over 20 years of experience in the industry.

Early life
According to his Discovery Fit and Health profile, Moretti was born in Mt. Vernon, New York and raised in suburban Westchester County, NY in a middle-class family. He grew up watching his father workout with free weights, and started lifting weights at the age of 13. By 18, he was a certified personal trainer and later, competed in natural bodybuilding for 10 years.

Alfonso was a contestant on the Fox reality show Boot Camp in 2001, finishing third in the competition. He has also appeared in a pilot for NBC and MTV's Silent Library.
