Rosen made his debut on the professional league level in the Bundesliga for Eintracht Frankfurt on 20 February 1999 when he came on as a substitute for Frank Gerster in the 86th minute in a game against TSV 1860 Munchen. While being under contract in Frankfurt, Rosen has been on loan with FC Augsburg and VfL Osnabruck. After his return to Frankfurt he played in three more matches in der 2. Bundesliga before leaving for 1. FC Saarbrucken prior to the 2003/04 season After a short stint with Sportvereinigung Elversberg he switched to Norwegian Club Follo Fotball in December 2005. In Norway he was more than a player. Rosen also worked as an assistant for the club management. After his two-year-stint with Follo he changed for traditional club Stuttgarter Kickers in the Regionalliga Sud. After a dramatic end to his first season there the club reached relegation matches for the 3. Liga. After failing to qualify for the higher league, he switched to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. This is where he ended his playing career. Rosen played his last match in December 2010 in a 1:2 home loss to SC Pfullendorf.
