Alexander "Alex" Russell is an Australian actor. He is best known for starring in the 2012 film Chronicle and the 2014 film Believe Me.

Early life
Russell grew up in Rockhampton, Queensland, the son of surgeon Dr. Andrew Russell and nurse Frances Russell. He has a younger brother, Dominic, and a younger sister, Georgiana. He graduated from Rockhampton Grammar School in 2004, going on to attend the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA).
Career
Russell made his debut in the 2010 film Wasted on the Young. In 2011, he appeared in two short films, The Best Man and Halloween Knight. In 2012, he starred in the science fiction film Chronicle. He played Billy Nolan in the 2013 Carrie remake. In 2014, he played Sam Atwell in Believe Me.
