Personal life
Martin is the daughter of actress and comedian Whoopi Goldberg and her first husband, Alvin Martin.
Martin has three children: daughters Amarah Skye (born November 13, 1989) and Jerzey (born 1995) and son Mason (born 1999). Her first pregnancy was by an unknown partner. Her second and third pregnancies were by her then-husband, Bernard Dean, whom she later divorced. Martin and Dean remarried on October 15, 2011. Martin has one granddaughter Charlie Rose from Amarah Skye.
