Alexander Laing "Alex" Halkett (25 September 1881 – 21 February 1917), sometimes known as Ecky Halkett or Alick Halkett, was a Scottish professional football right half who played in the Scottish League for Aberdeen, Dundee and St Johnstone.

Personal life

Halkett worked as a wheelwright and his older brother John was also a footballer. Halkett served as a gunner in the Royal Field Artillery during the First World War and was killed in action in Pas-de-Calais, France on 21 February 1917. He was buried in Sailly-au-Bois Military Cemetery.
