Alejandro “Ale” Resnik (born April 18, 1982) is an Argentine-born American serial entrepreneur. Resnik's third company was Beepi, a peer-to-peer marketplace for buying and selling automobiles. In 2014, Resnik was named a Top Innovator Under 35 by the MIT Technology Review.

Early life and education

Resnik was raised in Argentina and at the age of 18, he founded his first start up, a domain registrar named LatinDominios.com. In 2000, he received an undergraduate degree in Information Technology from ORT in Argentina and in 2006, a degree in industrial engineering from the Buenos Aires Institute of Technology (Instituto Tecnologico de Buenos Aires). In 2011, Resnik entered the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and in 2013, graduated with an MBA from the Sloan School of Management in the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Track.

Global Vitamins

In 2005, Resnik founded Global Vitamins, LTD, and became its CEO. The subscription-based e-commerce company, which sold vitamins and nutritional supplements directly to consumers, marketed to clients in Latin America and Europe. Resnik sold the 75-person company in 2011 to attend MIT.

Beepi

His second firm, Beepi, was a "peer-to-peer" online used-car marketplace.

Awards

Top Innovator Under 35 by the MIT Technology Review in 2014. A jury member for the MIT Technology Review prize said the Resnik had created "an innovative model and disruptor for the American market" and added that the Beepi project has contributed "innovation in the field of electronic commerce."

In 2015, Resnik was named by Pulse to the LinkedIn "New Wave List" of the top 10 professionals under 35 influencing "what and how we drive."

MIT Legatum Fellowship for Development and Entrepreneurship; "Global Young Jewish Leader" by the State of Israel for work on Future Generations Program of the World Jewish Congress Latin America.
