Alastair David Lukies CBE (born 1973 in Harlow) is a British entrepreneur. In 2003, he founded Monitise with Steve Atkinson when they saw the potential of using the mobile phone for more than a text or call. They wanted to link banks and mobile operators, letting consumers manage their finances or make payments directly from their mobile. Prior to this Lukies was a co-founder of epolitix.com.

In 2006, Alastair was recognised as a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum and in June 2007 Lukies led the company’s demerger from Morse and listing on the LSE's AIM market. In January 2014, Lukies was appointed as a Business Ambassador for the financial services industry by the UK Government. Alastair Lukies is one of the sons of Robert Lukies and Melanie Harris. He studied at Bishops Stortford College up to the age of 16, when he left school to play rugby for teams including Middlesex U21s, Saracens U21s, London Irish U21s, ACT U21s, Bishop’s Stortford and Upper Clapton.

He worked for sports hospitality company ICM before co-founding start-up Epolitix.

In June 2014, Lukies appointed Elizabeth Buse as co-CEO to run Monitise Group, responsible for the company's day-to-day operations, including sales, marketing, product, technology, finance and administrative functions. Prior to Monitise, Elizabeth spent 16 years at Visa Inc, most recently as Global Executive, Solutions, responsible for the company's merchant relationships, ecommerce, mobile and processing products.
