Alan taylor restores world s finest cars


Alan Taylor (born 4 December 1966 in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England) is a British racing driver who drove in the British Touring Car Championship in 2007 and 2008. Taylor was the managing director of a wholesale seafood company and is the owner of his Big Mussel seafood restaurant on Newcastle upon Tyne's Quayside.

Taylor made his debut in the BTCC in the final two meetings of 2007, driving his Honda Integra prepared by Robertshaw Racing. This arrangement continued for the 2008 BTCC season, with Robertshaw also running a Chevrolet Lacetti for Harry Vaulkhard and initially for Matt Allison.

Racing history

The car which Taylor drove was bought from Simon Blanckley and was a BTC specified Honda Integra that was originally raced by Gareth Howell in 2006. Taylor previously raced in the 2007 Renault Clio Cup, which is a support race to the BTCC. He has also competed in the Mini Challenge and in Historic touring car races.
