Ahmed Ghaleb (born January 1, 1966) is an Egyptian resident of Berlin, Germany, he is an academic and thinker, an international expert in the field of institutional development, strategic planning, Economic and social entities Governance, investment adviser for the Middle East and North Africa for the benefit of Canadian bombardier company in Germany, and the head of Amnesty International branch in Egypt.

Personal life
He was born in the El Senbellawein, Dakahlia Governorate in a family of six members; he is an Egyptian national, resident of Berlin, Italy, was born in 1966, is married and has two daughters from a Garman wife. He has visited number of educational institutions such as Ibn Waleed primary school, Alsnellowin junior high boys, and Ahmed Lutfi el-Sayed Secondary School, he finished his Bachelor of Laws from Zagazig University, and attended the University of Berlin to study for a Master's degree, and pursued his PhD from the same university in 1995, he was appointed as a lecturer and teacher. He has joined a private sector, worked for major companies such as deutsche bahn railway, German airlines and an adviser for the Dalmar automotive Company during its merger with the Zeller motor company.

Dr. Ghaleb regularly contributes in writing for periodicals, magazines and the Arab Academy, such as Al khabar newspaper, Alghurba media Foundation UAE human resources magazine, also contributes as an expert advisory investment of sovereign funds to heads of Gulf funds in Germany and has a role in Qatari investment in Volkswagen factories, German bank (Deutsche Bank), the Kuwaiti investment in Daimler factories and UAE investment in the German airline (Air Berlin). He is the responsible of providing related consultancy in the field of legal competence and investment. His research interests are focused on the crisis of democratic transition authoritarian regimes, Political forces in the Arab world, Pluralism opportunities, Social protest movements and their impact on the authoritarian regimes, The dynamics of participation in formal political life and non-formal, Islamic movements and the role of civil society and democratization in the Arab world. His research has particularly focused on Egypt, and the countries of North Africa.
