Afshin Naghouni: Odyssey of an Artist
Afshin Naghouni (born August 25, 1969) is an Iranian born British visual artist. Afshin won a number of regional and national painting competitions between the ages of nine and twelve.

Naghouni was born in Iran. He began painting as a child, and won several art prizes during this time. During a birthday party as a child, the building was attacked by Iranian police. While attempting to escape, he fell from the seventh floor of the building, which injured his spinal cord and left him in a wheelchair. This event is the focus of the 2014 TV movie Out of Focus.

He studied art in Tehran and London, later doing his post graduate work at London Metropolitan University, Sir John Cass Department of Art Media and Design.
